On the 150-th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, IIT Palakkad organised various events to build awareness on cleanliness, health and sustainability. The events for the day  were inaugurated by Mr. Chetan Kumar Meena IAS, Assistant Collector of Palakkad in the presence of Prof. P. B. Sunil Kumar, Director IIT Palakkad, Mr. M. Krishnan, District  Engineer Pollution Control Board and Mr. Y. Kalyanakrishnan, District Coordinator Haritha Keralam Mission.
