Signing of MoU with Continental’s Technical Centre India (TCI)

We are happy to inform you that on 7th July 2022, an MoU will be signed between Continental’s Technical Centre India (TCI) and the Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad (IIT Palakkad). The MoU will facilitate collaboration for a three-year Joint Research Programme in the areas of autonomous driving technologies, connected mobility, and advanced safety solutions. The MoU will be signed by the Head of Technical Centre India (TCI), Continental, Latha Chembrakalam, and the Dean of Industrial Research at IIT Palakkad Dr. Santhakumar Mohan.

The Joint Research Programme will encourage internship and innovation opportunities for students at IIT Palakkad to stay up-to-date with and contribute to current and upcoming industry trends, and scope for the experts at Continental to co-design and offer input to courses at IIT Palakkad. The collaborative program is expected to foster niche skill development for both Continental and IIT-Palakkad through R&D, in areas like optimizing high-performance computing, simulation models for image and video processing chain for autonomous driving, autonomous mobility safety features based on human vision features, and advanced safety solutions for an intelligent battery sensing module.
