Movere: Beyond Words
About the Workshop
The dance/movement therapy workshop is a 2.5-hour experiential session designed to create a safe and engaging space for participants to explore the connection among their bodies, minds, and emotions. Through movement, creative expression, reflection, and group processes, participants will be encouraged to become more aware of their emotions, discover healthy ways of expressing and regulating them, and learn simple body-based self-care tools that they can use in their everyday lives. The session will include ice-breakers, movement warm-ups, experiential activities, opportunities for individual, pair, small-group and whole-group interactions, guided sharing, free movement and relaxation. The overall experience will be interactive, reflective, enjoyable and rooted in connection rather than performance.
PN: Prior experience or knowledge in dance is NOT required.
