Prof. K.V. Govindan Kutty

Dr K.V. Govindan Kutty is presently a Professor of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology, Palakkad. Prior to this, he was the Head of Materials Chemistry Division at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Department of Atomic Energy, at Kalpakkam, and a Professor of Chemical Sciences at the Homi Bhabha National Institute at the Kalpakkam Campus. He is a specialist in Solid State Inorganic Chemistry, and has authored or co-authored a number of technical papers in refereed international journals. His scientific interests are nuclear technology, novel synthesis of materials, x-ray methods of materials characterization, structure – property correlation, thermophysical properties of materials, chemical education, etc. He is a member of the Materials Research Society of India, the Indian Nuclear Society, and the Society for the Advancement of Chemical Sciences and Education.
