IIT Palakkad Wins Its First Medals at the Inter IIT Aquatics Meet

IIT Palakkad is proud to share that the institute has won two medals at the Inter IIT Aquatics Meet 2026, held at IIT Kharagpur. This is the first time in the history of our institute that we have won medals at the Inter IIT Aquatics Meet. Ms. Isha Bhavesh Shah, 3rd year B.Tech. student of Mechanical Engineering, participated in three events and won Gold Medal in 50 m Breaststroke, Bronze Medal in 100 m Breaststroke and secured 5th Place in 50 m Backstroke.

This achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of our swimmers and will inspire more students to take up competitive swimming. Notably, for the first time, IIT Palakkad finished 6th in the overall points tally in the Women's category, a significant milestone for the institute aquatics programme.
